Street Trees
|
This collection is of my "Street Trees".
My work is about memory: how our identities are tied to our experiences and what we recall of them; what we forget and what is important to us. As a teacher and parent, I’m certain I’ve forgotten more than I remember. These pictures are of local trees, on the streets round where I live. In winter, they show their structure and delicate details. I like to imagine their shapes are a function of their history: a memory of their experiences. These pictures were taken using the subtle combination of street lights and dusk light (extended exposure). They are available, to order, at approximately A4 size or larger. They are printed onto C-type metallic paper and mounted on aluminium dibond or MDF. Contact me if you would like to place an order. |
